Since Tim was out of town for most of the weekend (on his first guys' weekend that he's ever taken since we've been married - but more on that another day), my parents and my nephew came down to hang with me and the kids. We found lots to do to keep us busy.
Friday night we went to the annual barbeque at our church. Lots of yummy food. (But forgot the camera so no pics - which is probably good since we were pigging out.)
Saturday morning we loaded up and headed to Peakfest. Our town has a great street festival each May with lots of arts and crafts, music, kids activities, etc.
Gotta love the Chic-Fil-A cow...
My nephew with our own 'Barney Fife.'
Spring has sprung into summer here in N.C.
My oldest child 'begging' me to adopt a dog from one of the animal rescue booths.
After a bit of a rest and a break from the almost 90-degree temps, we went and watched Joshua's lacrosse game.
He scored his first goal of the season - YAY!!!!!
Sunday Tim got back from his guys' weekend and we participated in Brandon's confirmation service at church. It was an awesome way to end the weekend - beautiful service, big group of kids.
(Photo's a little blurry - Joshua did the best he could from far away.)
There were a lot of confirmands...
We love you, Brandon. You're an awesome kid and we couldn't be more proud to be your parents.
Well that was our weekend in a nutshell!
